Adam Warburton Joins Hammonds on Solo Trombone.

Adam joins The Hammonds Band from Wardle Anderson Brass, where he has played Solo Trombone for the last 7 years. Adam is also the Solo Trombonist of the Wardle Academy Youth Band and with the band has won the soloist prize at the European Youth Band Championships in 2019 and most recently at the 2022 Championships held in Birmingham, where he performed the solo ‘The Blue Bells of Scotland’. In addition to this, Adam has proudly been the Principal Trombone player of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain since 2019. 

 

Speaking about the appointment Adam commented, “I am looking forward to working with Morgan and the band, and especially preparing for the upcoming contest season.”

 

On Adam’s appointment Morgan Griffiths, Musical Director of the Hammonds Band, commented, “I’m thrilled to be welcoming Adam to the band. He is such a talented young trombonist and another great signing for the Hammonds team.”

Adam takes over from Tim Mossad, who the band would wish to thank for his commitment to the band over the last 3 years.
