Overgate Hospice Choir is delighted to be joining forces with an ensemble from Hammonds Band for a concert in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
The concert will include uplifting pieces by both band and choir, with and audience participation, concluding with a “last night of the proms” medley including Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory. The choir will perform I was Glad (Parry) and Zadok the Priest and Hallelujah Chorus (Handel). Lighter pieces include Look to the Day and The Lord Bless You and Keep You (Rutter) and the much-loved theme tune from The Vicar of Dibley – The Lord is My Shepherd (Goodall)
The choir will be conducted by Pam Harrison, who has sung us for many years, and our accompanist will be Alan Horsey.
