Alan Morrison Joins Hammonds Band on Soprano Cornet

Hammonds Band are delighted to further build on recent signings with the addition of Alan Morrison on Soprano Cornet. Alan joins the band after a spell with City of Hull. Alan commented, “I am delighted to be taking on the position of Soprano Cornet with the Hammonds Band. A band with a rich banding history and one that is building big for the future. I would like to thank all at City of Hull, despite Covid 19 I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the band.”

Alan replaces long standing soprano Robert Jagger who gave huge commitment to Hammonds over the last 7 years. The band wish him well for the future.

 Morgan Griffiths, musical director of Hammonds commented, “we have been re-building with purpose over the last few months. Alan is a wonderful addition to the cornet section led by Kirsty Abbotts. Alan`s debut on Soprano Cornet will be the British Open in January (Covid permitting)
