Two Matts add gloss finish to Hammonds
The Hammonds Band are pleased to announce the signing of two players to complete the team ready for the Yorkshire Regional Champions on home turf of Huddersfield next month.
The talented Matt Brown has joined on principal trombone bringing a wealth of experience to the trombone section. Formerly a player Milnrow, in relocating to Yorkshire Matt the band are thrilled that he has joined the team.
Hammonds are also pleased to welcome Matt Ryan to the bass section on Eb Bass. Matt as well as being an accomplished bass player, is also the MD at Horwich RMI Band and the band are delighted he has been able to complete an already strong bass team.

Double Odyssey in Concert
You can see the two Matt’s make their concert debut for Hammonds at St Savior’s Church in Birstall on Saturday 17th February. The concert starts at 7.30pm and will feature the Area test piece Odyssey by Kevin Norbury and also includes works such Procession to the Minister, Shine as the Light, Overture Candide, Molly on the Shore and Gaelforce.
Hammonds will also be performing Odyssey at the Boarshurst Band club on Sunday 18th February. All are welcome, tickets can be purchased on the door at both events.
