Jamie Smith NYBBGB Principal

The principal cornet player of the Hammonds Saltaire Band, Jamie Smith, has been chosen has the principal cornet player of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain for their summer course at Repton School.
Jamie has attended the twice yearly courses run by the National Youth Band for several years now and has steadily moved through the ranks of cornet players. He has played on the solo cornet line before but this will be his first course in the principal’s seat. All at the Hammonds Saltaire Band are extremely proud of Jamie’s achievement and wish him the best of luck for the performances later this week.
